Anar Heybatov was born in Baku. He studied in the tar class of the folk instruments department of the Bulbul secondary specialized music school (1983-1994), and in the drama and film acting department of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art (1995-1999, Azer Pasha Nematov's course).

He first appeared on stage at the Drama Theater with the role of a bodyguard in the play "My Husband is Crazy".

Since 2001, he has been an actor of the Academic National Drama Theater.

He starred in the role of Ramazan in the Russian-made TV series "Drongo" (2002, directed by Zinoviy Royzman).

He is an Honored Artist (2017).
