Alexander Stepanov was born in 1903.
He studied at the Saratov Theater School.
He worked in the theaters of Saratov (1924-1928), Arkhangelsk, Khabarovsk, Minsk, Simferopol, Chisinau, Gorky, Odessa, Tashkent (1928-1959). Since 1959 he has worked at the Azerbaijan State Russian Drama Theater.
People's Artist of Uzbekistan (1950) Alexander Stepanov died in 1981.
