Aghakarim

Aghakarim (Karim Novruzov) was born in Mashtaga.

He has been engaged in the art of meykhana since 1984. In 1991, he won the meykhana competition held throughout the Republic of Azerbaijan, and in 1993, he received the highest award, the gold medal, at the Gazalkhan festival dedicated to Aliaga Vahid. In 2001, his album “Bu geder, obiri gelar” was released.

Aghakarim died in 2025 and was buried in the Seyidlar cemetery in Mashtaga.
