Aghababa Bunyadzadeh was born in the Kurdakhani village of Baku.

In addition to performing as a singer in his youth, he was an actor in a drama club. He sang the arias of Uzeyir Hajibeyli's heroes Asker ("Arshin mal alan") and Sarver ("O olmasin, bu olsun"), and showed interest in classical world operas. At the age of 23, he was hired to the choir of the Azerbaijan State Opera and Ballet Theater. He studied at the vocal department of the Gnesins Music School in Moscow (1938-1939). After returning from there, he was accepted into the troupe of the opera theater. At the same time, he improved his singing style and mastered the features of acting in the studio at the art school.

Honored Artist (1943), People's Artist (1955) Agababa Bunyadzade died in 1974 and was buried in the Alley of Honor.
