Aghakhan Sharifov was born in Aghsu.

He studied at the Drama and Cinema Acting Department of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1986-1990). He worked at the Youth Theater (1990-1996), the Ilham Miniature Theater (1993-2007), and the Azerbaijan State Musical Theater (2007-2020).

Since 1999, he has worked at the Musical Theater Acting Department of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts.

Aghakhan Sharifov passed away in 2020.
