Agharza Guliyev was born in Lankaran. He studied at the Azerbaijan Theater School (1924) and the film workshop at the Film Factory (1927).
He began working as an actor in cinema in 1924. Later, he continued his work as a film director. He starred in the foreign film producers' film "Meeting" (1930, director Garsevan Gomarteli / Georgia) as Agarza Musayev, and in the film "Thirteen" (1936, director Mikhail Romm / Russia) as Guliyev. He also worked in the field of dubbing.
