Aghadadash Gurbanov was born in Baku. In 1927, Latif Karimli's play "The Storm" was performed at the "Denizchiler Club". He was among the schoolchildren who prepared this play. Thus, the foundation of the Workers' Children's Theater (later renamed the Young Spectators' Theater) was laid in Baku. From that time until 1952, he worked in this theater.
Since 1952, he has performed at the Azerbaijan State Drama Theater.
In 1965, the actor, who played the role of Soltan bey in the film "Arshin mal alan", was on tour in Salyan. When he went out onto the balcony of the hotel, the balcony suddenly collapsed and the artist tragically died. Honored Artist (1943), People's Artist (1954) Agadadash Gurbanov was buried in the Alley of Honor.

Actor Agadadash Gurbanov is the father of actor Hamlet Gurbanov, actress Gulshan Gurbanova, and artist and animation director Firangiz Gurbanova.
