Afgan Yusifov was born in Baku.
He studied at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art (1995-1999).
He worked as an assistant director on Azerbaijani television (1997-1999), as a director and producer at the “Art Media” advertising company (2004-2007).
Since 2008, he has been the founder and chief producer of the “Charkh Film” studio.
