AWARDS CEREMONY OF THE 5TH KORKUT ATA TURKISH WORLD FILM FESTIVAL WAS HELD
The 5th Korkut Ata Turkic World Film Festival concluded with a closing and award ceremony in Aktau, the 2025 Cultural Capital of the Turkic World. At the festival, which brought together nearly 200 producers, directors, screenwriters, actors and film industry representatives, guests got to know Aktau, the Cultural Capital of the Turkic World, through film screenings, panels and professional meetings.
The jury of the festival, chaired by Aydin Sakhman from Kazakhstan, included Sadiqsaleh Bayramov (Turkmenistan), Nazira Mukusheva (Kazakhstan), Mehriban Zaki (Azerbaijan), Umid Iskenderov (Uzbekistan), Argen Adil Uluu (Kyrgyzstan), Ensar Altay (Turkey), Mirsadig Agazade (Azerbaijan), Ömer Faruk Aksoy (Turkey), Hasan Kıdıraliyev (Kyrgyzstan), Dovletgeldi Khudaverdiyev (Turkmenistan) and Gulnara Abdurahmanova (Uzbekistan).
The jury's decisions were announced at the festival's awards ceremony. Five documentaries and eight feature films were among the winners.

• Best Actor: Parviz Mammadrzayev – “Taghiyev. Oil” (Azerbaijan)
• Best Screenplay: Taleh Yuzbeyov – “Maybe…” (Azerbaijan)
• Best Director: Aruan Anartai – “Zhogtau” (Kazakhstan)
• Best Feature Film: “Black. Golden. Yellow” (Kyrgyzstan)
• DOCUMENTARY FILMS:
• First Place: “Akesine, menin ata-atamnin akesine, onyn atasy ushin pranikter” (Kazakhstan)
• Second Place: “Nargin: Mysterious to the End” (Azerbaijan)
• Third place: “In the Footsteps of Bartok” (Hungary)
• Special Jury Prize: “Songs of the Mountain” (Turkey), “Boz Ui” (Kyrgyzstan)
