Teymur Daimi

Teymur Daimi (Teymur Taghiyev) was born in Baku.
He studied at the Azim Azimzade Art School (1981-1985) and the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art (1987-1993).
He defended his PhD thesis in philosophy at the Institute of Philosophy and Law of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (2000). He is the author of numerous articles and essays in foreign and local publications on art and culture. He was one of the founders of the first independent art group in Azerbaijan called "Testig" (1989). Since 1990, his activities have acquired an interdisciplinary character. His book "Finding the Path" was published (1996). He worked as an art specialist at the "Arts, etc..." center for contemporary culture and as an art consultant in the international project "Art Caucasus 2005". Since 2001, he has been engaged in audiovisual art as a multimedia artist and director.
He teaches at the College of Art under the Azerbaijan State Academy of Arts.
