Nazim Aliverdibayov was born in Kislovodsk, Russia.
He studied at the Azerbaijan State Conservatory.
He taught at the Bulbul Secondary Specialized Music School and the Azerbaijan State Conservatory. He was the director of the Bulbul Secondary Specialized Music School (1964-1985).
He re-orchestrated Uzeyir Hajibeyov's operas "Asli and Kerem" and "Leyli and Majnun", and edited the scores of the operas "Leyli and Majnun" (1983) and "Koroglu" (1985).
Nazim Aliverdibayov died in 1985.
Composer Nazim Aliverdibayov is the brother of conductor Kazim Aliverdibayov.
