Kamala Mehdiyeva

Kamala Mehdiyeva was born in Baku.

She studied at the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts, majoring in Drama Theater and Film Actor (1986-1990), and at the Leningrad Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography, majoring in Stage Speech (1991-1993).

Since 1993, she has been teaching at the Department of Stage Speech of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts, has been an associate professor (2014), and head of the Department of Stage Speech (since 2022). She defended her dissertation on the topic “Means of Expression in Actor's Creativity”. She is a Doctor of Philosophy in Art History (2008). She is the author of textbooks and methodological aids.

Since 2015, she has also been an associate professor at the English Language and Humanities Center of the Baku Higher Oil School.
