Jalal Bargushad

Jalal Bargushad (Jalal Javadov) was born in the village of Gazyan, Gubadli region.
He studied at the Gubadli Workers' and Youth School, and at the Journalism Department of the Philology Faculty of Azerbaijan State University.
He was seriously wounded in World War II and discharged (1943). He worked as the head of the VVAQ in the Gubadli region's internal affairs department (1943-1946), a literary worker in the editorial office of the "Azerbaijan Pioneri" newspaper (1951), and since 1958 as a senior editor at the Azerbaijan State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company.
His first poem, "Wind Blowing from the Southern Plains," was published in the "Avangard" newspaper published in Gubadli (1946). His work "Babek" was published in Tehran (1984) in Persian, and "Gachag Nabi" in Istanbul (1979) in Turkish in mass circulation.
Jalal Bargushad died in 1996.
