Gizilgul Guliyeva was born in the village of Separadi, Lankaran region.
She studied at the Cultural and Educational Faculty of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1982-1987).
She began working at the Lankaran State Drama Theater in 1981. She was awarded the 1st diploma and prize in the competition held between theaters (1986).
