Fikret Alakbarov

Fikret Alakbarov was born in Baku.
He studied at the Azim Azimzade Art School (1962-1967), the Art Faculty of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1975).
Since 1974, he has worked at the “Azerbaijanfilm” film studio.
He worked as an assistant set designer in the film “Brilliant Hand” (1968, director Leonid Qayday / Russia) by foreign film producers, as an artist in the films “Megapolis” (1992 / Ukraine), “Oranges” (1994 / Ukraine) and “Prisoner of Cell Number Five” (Turkey). He played the role of Devi's double in the film "The Last Inch" (1958, directors Teodor Vulfovich, Nikita Kurikhin / Russia), in an episodic role in the film "Amphibian Man" (1961, directors Gennady Kazansky, Vladimir Chebotaryov / Russia), and in the film "Prisoner of Cell Number Five" (Turkey) as the deputy chief of the prison camp.
He provided the artistic design for more than 100 plots and several clips for the satirical film magazine "Mozalan".
He is an Honored Artist (2008).
Artist Fikret Alakbarov is the son of cameraman Aghazeynal Alakbarov.
