Elmira Aslanova was born in Salyan.
She studied at the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts, majoring in Drama and Cinema Actor (1980).
For a while, she worked at the Kamensk-Ural and Irkutsk Drama Theaters of Russia (1981-1985), and the Azerbaijan State Theater for Young Spectators (1986-2008).
Since 2008, she has been an actress at the Azerbaijan State Russian Drama Theater.
