Azerin (Anakhanim Taghiyeva) was born in Baku.
She studied at the vocal course of the Baku Music Academy (1990-1995).
At the age of 5, she sang in a children's program on the Azerbaijan State Radio. She performed in the "Cucələrim" ensemble for 9 years. While in high school, she was a laureate at the 12th World Youth Festival in Moscow (1985) and the Young Performers Music Competition in Georgia (1986). In her last years at school, she performed as part of Afsar Javanshirov's "Banovsha" choir. She was a laureate at the "Odlar Yurdu" competition held in Baku (1990). Her first album was released in 2001. In 1994, she went to Turkey (Antalya) and taught there for 7 years, performing on various music stages and squares. She was a presenter on TRT AVAZ television.
She currently lives in Turkey.
She is an orchestra player at the Heydar Aliyev Azerbaijan Higher Military School, and a captain of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces. Honored Artist (2006), People's Artist (2015).
