Agil Chovdarov was born in Georgia.
He studied at the Directing Department of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art (1999-2003).
He worked as a director on Azerbaijan Television (2002-2003) and ITV (2007-2020), as a chief director on Medical TV (2019-2022), as a director of the “Milli Ses” music competition and the “Zarafatyana” comedy show on Space TV (2022), and as a chief director on MTV (2023).
